Common wedge lofts are 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degrees. More often than not, golfers go with three wedges in 4-degree gaps: 52, 56 and 60 degrees is a popular setup, as is 50, 54 and 58.
If you can dial in your lob wedge for your full-swing approach shots, that’s great but most players prefer sand, gap or pitching wedges with a little less than a full swing to complete the same task.
