Other hugely rated shows include Slow Horses starring Gary Oldman, Bad Sisters with the amazing Sharon Horgan, and Disclaimer starring Cate Blanchett.

Apple TV+ currently costs $9.99 a month and features popular shows like "The Morning Show," "Pachinko," and "Palm Royale," plus exclusive MLB and MLS games, and more. It's also available as an add-on to Amazon Prime Video for the same price.

While many of its streaming rivals have pulled back on output, Apple has so far remained relatively consistent and released more premium originals for adults than any other streaming service last year, apart from Netflix. On average, Apple TV+ released a brand new title every week of the year with at least 4 new releases each month.

The streaming overlords have smiled upon TV watchers, kicking off the new year by making Apple TV+ programming free to watch for the first time. The special event runs Friday-Sunday, Jan. 3-5, giving everyone the perfect opportunity to catch up on all the original content you might have heard about -- but that didn't pique your interest enough to cough up the subscription price.
