London — A commemorative coin featuring the image of an eye and the inscription “Big Brother is watching you" is being released to pay tribute to “Nineteen Eighty-four” author George Orwell and mark his death 75 years ago.

The George Orwell commemorative £2 coin will be available to buy in uncirculated, gold proof and silver proof versions from the Royal Mint’s website at 9am on January 15, with prices starting at £17.50.
