If you come out with a world-beating product, like WorldSemi did with the WS2812B addressable RGB LED “pixel”, you can be pretty sure that you’re going to be cloned in fairly short order.
It uses the extremely common WS2812b individually controllable RGB LEDs to surround the wall ... number of LEDs it’s able to control; a 50 LED strip only eats up about 1.5% of the Pi’s CPU.
