THULASENDRAPURAM, India (Reuters) -With sacred chants, ringing of bells and offerings of flowers and bananas, a Hindu priest in Kamala Harris' ancestral village in southern India conducted prayers on Tuesday for her victory in the U.S. presidential election.

The small village of Thulasendrapuram in southern India, where Vice President Kamala Harris' maternal grandfather was born, held a prayer ceremony on Election Day for her victory.
